MCAS Miramar 2010 Oct. 2010
        The Super Fighters: Typhoon
                     and F-22 Raptor
As I stood outside the Miramar flight
line entry I wondered what the Marines
had put on display for me to shoot. I
knew the Hornets, Harriers and
Hercules would be there of course but,
I was amazed to find the frontline
fighter of the RAF to be there. That
RAF fighter would be none other than
the BAE Typhoon. This would be the
first time I would ever see a Typhoon
up close and personal. I was thrilled.
Those two Typhoons were worth the
trip from Las Vegas all by themselves. I
definitely took more shots of those
Typhoons than I did almost as much as
the rest of the statics all put together. I
can count three different times I went
back to shoot the Typhoons.
               The awesome F-22 Raptor
was located in the aircraft performer
area. None were on static display. The
long walk to the far western side of the
ramp was where the Raptors were
parked. Raptors meaning two. One
from Langley and one from Tyndall.
Very nice indeed.
  Both of these Awesome Super
Fighters are featured on this web
page. Enjoy the photos.
